|Unai Emery issues message to Aaron Ramsey amid uncertainty over his future at Arsenal
| 3mbet Unai Emery has urged Aaron Ramsey to remain focused on performing well for Arsenal but refused to be drawn into whether the Welsh star would stay in north London. Ramsey's future at the club remains in doubt after the Welshman confirmed that the Gunners pulled the plug on a new deal with both parties said to have previously agreed terms.
Emery refused to be drawn into the debate about Ramsey's future, saying that he expects him to perform with the same demand and levels as the other players when the north London side host Leicester City on Monday night football. His contract is due to expire at the end of the current campaign and when asked whether a potential move in the New Year was on the cards for the former Cardiff City player Emery said:
"For me January is very far, I'm thinking Monday first and I want every player staying with the mentality and the preparation for playing together to win," he said. 3mbet "My focus is every single match. The future is tomorrow, no more. I want the mentality for the next match, individual things are not for me to speak on now.
"I want his performance like any other player," Emery added. "The last match he started on the bench and played 25 minutes with this performance. Monday, [I expect] the same, if he will start in the first XI or the bench, to be with the focus to help us like another player, no different."
Ramsey has been at the club for 10 years after joining from Cardiff in 2008 and last week ruled out a cut-price move in January and wanted to stay for the rest of the season. “Everything has been going great with the club,” said Ramsey last week. 3mbet “We thought we were in a position where we had agreed a deal but that’s no longer the case. “So I just have to carry on playing my football and do my best for Arsenal this season and I’ll leave the rest with the club now.”
